Unplugging the Edge

I had to unplug my Edge momentarily. Can I just plug it back in with the ignition off? What is the procedure for unplugging and plugging back in?
Thanks

It is in the manual, I think it tells you to have the key on, then plug it in.

I always plug it back in with the truck running if I just disconnect it. If your going to reprogram it then the key should be in the on position but not running.

I doesn't make a BIT OF DIFFERENCE what you're doing when you plug it in. It doesn't matter if you're riding down the interstate when you start tuning it. It will just give you the message "turn your truck off" .

Like Chester said...it doesn't really matter.

If the vehicle is turned off, it will ask you to turn the key to the ON position. It will then go through its bootup process. At this time, it should recognize if you are running level 1-3. If it incorrectly identifies which one you had, CALL EDGE. Or if it tries to tell you to custom program it, CALL EDGE.

Read the post about buying an edge. I tried to explain how it works.
