Talked with Troyer Performance today
Guys I was gonna order an Edge Evo today after months of debating and searching online. I read a post last night from a guy who was not pleased with his 4.6 like i am not with mine when it comes to performance and options. Mike Troyer responded and gave a great light of hope to him. I was so impressed with his insight i gave them a call. I talked to a guy named Chris at first who was very patient and knowledgable. After working with me for about 30 minutes he then told me he wanted me to talk to Mike. I was completely shocked. Mike then talked to me and explained things to me and gave me his recommnedation which was the same as Chris. These guys are great and very patient. I am going with an AirRaid intake and custom tune. The edge is good as they stated but it does not squeeze every ounce of potential out of the vehicle. Notice I did not say horsepower. Mike explained we get too caught up in peak numbers. He was exactly right too. We must look at the total picture of torque and horsepower over the power band.
Bottom line up front If you want maximum performance and great service go with Troyer.

Hi dajoker ( & everyone),
Thanks very much for your kind post, it's greatly appreciated.
What posts like yours *really* do is to help let people know, from an independent source with no personal interest in us, that we know what we are doing, and that we take all the time needed to go over any and all questions, to make sure the customer gets what they need and knows everything that is involved, has all the options explained, etc.
The idea here at Troyer Performance is to try to get people to see why it's worth spending just a little bit extra to get the best, as it shows up when you drive the vehicle, whether it's just normal everyday cruising, or actually on a a dyno or running at the track, or towing a load.
Our goal is to provide the best possible driveability, as well as the best safe & sustainable performance gains - and to do that, we have to test a LOT of parts to be able to know just whose part is the best to use in each specific area of modification.
At the end of the day, we just try to treat our customers like our friends - if you do *that*, then that means we will have given them correct information and dealt with them honestly, and told them what we would do if it were our vehicle at that particular point - and I think that is really what is supposed to happen - at least, that's how we see it.
Sorry, I didn't mean to ramble on, I really just wanted to thank you for your kind posts.
