The drivers are part of the lightning software. It sounds like your anti-virus software is blocking your connection or your firewall or both. Keep in mind that you can't download the latest updates unless you have the edge connected to your pc first.

when I go to edge products I don't have the option to go to the drivers. just the read me file and Lightning 3.
Is the Edge suppose to "turn on" when you plug it in. mine is blank.

I find it interesting that they don't have a step by step on putting back to stock in the manual. I guess it's obvious to most people but it would be nice to see it in the book. They don't show the screen with the levels and having the fourth option to return to stock.

I think my software is old, and I didn't get a disk with my edge.
I'm think they tell you how to put it back to stock. The edge will light up on the usb cable when you select update

Try opening the lightning software first, then plug in the edge, it should detect the unit and then install the drivers automatically. Thats how I had to when I had an edge.

Ok so I finally got the thing to update. I think it was the firewall that was blocking the install. Thanks for the tips. It downloaded the updates and the edge lit up while downloading and seemed to do what it was suppose to. I am tempted to try re-programming now but after stressing last night I'm not sure I have the *****. Probably just wait till Mon. Thanks for the help. I'll let you know what happens.
Cheers.

drive up to the local ford dealer with your cell phone in hand, turn the key on first, plug it in, load level 2, and enjoy. You should be able to go back to stock but if not at least you can order a pizza while you wait for a ride. Opps forgot to pick up beer first

I am not sure what is so confusing. The manual explains that when you first load a tune, the Edge copies your stock program and it is #0. So any time you want to go to stock, you go to the tune selection screen and select 0. and hit enter.

Unless Edge added something in a later update (I haven't updated in several months), I don't think the Edge unit is supposed to light up when connected to a pc? Does anyone else's unit light up when updating?

I updated when I got the unit about 8 months ago, just do not remember much about it. Don't remember a light. Mine runs so good, have seen no reason for updating again.

It does when you're finished with a download, the warning screen appears, like the one when you plug it into the truck.
