Having a problem with new Edge

Well I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones. Installed my new Edge Evo today. Read the directions and followed step by step. Everything went fine. Set level 2. No problems yet. Went for a test drive. Started right up, got out of the driveway and started up the steet.
Now there is a problem. Acceleration cut out right away, engine still running but no throttle response. All I am getting is sporadic acceleration. Then nothing. Set it to level 1 per instructions. Same thing. Set it back to stock. Same thing. Unplugged the unit. Waited about 20 min. Plugged back in and its showing that I am on level 1 still. Even though the set default process said it worked.
Also, the speedo is going all the way up to 120 but I am coasting down the street.
Called Edge, got disconnected three times while on hold. Then got the after hours message.
Damn!
Any Ideas. (obviously I need to call them on Mon.)

Have not heard of that problem before. Have you tried downloading the updates? Sounds as if the program in your unit is corrupted. Sorry you are having the problem, has to be frustrating.

did you plug it back in with the key on?

does the hex code match the one on the computer, sounds like your Edge is not supporting the hex code

that sucks, wish I could help

you said you set defaults but that is not the same as returning to stock????????

I think it's stuck on level 1 now. It says its restoring defaults(returing to stock) but its not. I tried to download updates but I think since its not on stock settings it won't let me. Debating whether to take it to the dealership today, if their open, or wait till mon and talk to edge. and miss work.
I'm sure I followed the directions. It said it was successful after the programming.

yes, you have to be on stock to update. that sucks man, good luck fixing it.

Ok so I put the thing back in my truck after my last post. Now on the power levels it says return to stock. I don't think I had that option last night. Maybe I was too PO and didn't notice. So anyway it went back to stock and the truck is running correctly now. Thank God! I think I will try to update but not re-program untill Mon. when Edge is open.
I guess the restore defaults is just for options within the edge and has nothing to do with the trucks settings.:o
THanks for the concern its nice to share these kind of issues with you guys.

Fortunately you got it back to stock. Update the firmware on the unit if you haven't already done it and you may be good to go. My bro had to send his unit back and they shipped another, it wouldn't even load at all, but yours is at least loading. Good luck with it.

You save defaults which are your custom settings when you are on level 2 or level 3. You can save them so you won't have to punch in all the settings just to modify one. The return to defaults just reenters you last previous settings.

For some reason I can't get connected to the edge website. I downloaded the software from the disk and from the web. When it tries connecting to the server it doesn't do anything, shows 0% downloaded and I have to click cancel.
Am I missing something?

I think you have to disable your antivirus in order to download the programs from edge.
