Edge Question

I just got my Edge Evo in today and started to mess with it a little, but I remember reading here that Edge recomends updating it before programming the truck with it, right? If so, where is the little jack on the unit to do so? I looked at it and it looks like it needs to come out of the pod, but that little sucker is in there, so do i just push it out or is there a proper method of doing so? I didnt see it in the manual and dont want to break my new expensive toy.

Thanks Guys.

Yes, it just pushes out of the plastic pod. When I got mine, it wasn't in the pod yet though, I had to put it in there after I installed the pod on the dash.

To update, plug one end of the USB cable to the Edge and the other to your computer.

EDIT: Sorry, I see you have a 2003, it may be different than the '04 and ups.

Has Edge gotten rid of the shudder problem for Level 3 setting on the latest up date yet?

Thumbs up I have the 2003 Edge...

When I opened the box, it was in the "pod", AND, it did take some puchin to get it out. But be assured, the unit itself is pretty rugged, and there isn't anything to really "break off"... it should just "pop out".

I was able to get it out, and I did play with it in the truck, and WOW!

I want to play with the updates and some other stuff (its on level 2, once I get low on gas, 93 octane will push me into level 3, I normally run 87).

Yeah, it's a bitch to get out. But if you get a good grip on it and brace against the pod it comes out. I've got a 1997, same pod
