I am intrested in buying one since I hear nothing but good things. I am not the kind of guy that will be able to install my edge so Can yall "Edgers" tell me how much it cost to buy it and then to get it installed. THX

 

It costs about $350 to $360. Check www.discountpowerparts.com. Most anyone can install it in about 10 minutes, after reviewing the manual. If you still don't feel you can, then maybe a friend can help. If you can plug in a mouse for your computer, you should be able to plug in the Edge. It is that simple.

 

I thought there were different stages like 1-3 and then i thought that you had to make a tune? I just dont understand these things. Somebody help out here.

 

As far as installing, it is as simple as pluging it in. If you want to customize setting, it is still very easy. Just a matter of pressing buttons. I copied all my Lvl 3 settings from another member her on the board.

 

There's a post in this forum, called "Thinking about a Tuner, Read this First", check it out. Installing the Edge isn't like installing a CAI or a new exhaust. You just plug it in and go. The tuner plugs into the OBDII which is under your dash around where your knee is. It's a computer looking plug. You plug the Edge into it (with the key on, and the engine NOT running), and it does the rest.

All you have to do is run the wire and mount the pod the tuner sits in. Really easy.

I got my Edge at AutoAnything for 318.00. That's the cheapest I've found them, and I looked all over the net.

Read that post, it explains a lot about the tuners and how they work.

Its not that hard to go at all. Listen get you're Edge then go your local Walmart or similar store and buy a copy of "Fast Performance Fords" Im not really sure if thats the name of the magazine I would look but I left mines at work. On the cover it should have a white F150 Roush burningout w/ a pair of red stripes going down the middle. The point of this is cause at the back of the mag on the TECH section they did an article on the Edge tuner. It has some pictures and instructions on how you should intall it. This could be helpful if you have no clue to what you're doing.

w0w... thats not the same magazine but its the exact same article I have on mines. Even the pictures are the same

No but seriously all you have to do is plug it in to your OBDII sensor down by your right leg, run the cable up where indicated in the instructions and mount the pod slap it in and follow the install instructions from there.
