Look at my sig, you could get similar results. You could see more if you had an AF 1 intake and a better exhaust

maybe 30-40 hp,but that is just a guess. Most trucks with a 5.4 3v and troyer tunes, AF 1 intake and magnaflow exhaust get between 250-260 at the wheels. these trucks get about 200 stock.

And... it's not just about peak numbers - it's about "area under the curve", and vast driveability improvements - things you simply will not get to anywhere the same degree from a canned tuner.

The Edge "canned tune" has a night and day difference for "driveability improvements" for my truck. If it is not just about peak numbers MGDFan then why do you keep bashing the "canned tune"? If you do not dyno your "custom tune" would you not agree it is a canned tune?

Your interpretation is not mine. No bashing - just facts. There is more to be had at peak AND under the curve, with custom - it will always be so.

And nope - a Custom baseline tune that is dead nuts perfect (requires no adjustments after data review), is simply a perfect custom tune, done in the first iteration. Which is the result of raw talent & experience.

The difference is in the details. Repeat - not bashing.

Beers, remember?

No, a Troyer Performance tune even without dyno and datalogging is still a custom tune created for your truck and mods based on the info you provide to TP. Dyno and datalogging is just to verify that Mike's tuning was on the money and to see if any more can be gained by tweaking here and there as every truck is a little different.
An Edge tune is canned but still not a bad tune. It is for every truck with the same strategy regardless of any mods done by the owner. It is not optimized for your truck and driving choices like a true custom tune.

I have seen TP post on here that one truck can be so much different then another equiped with the same mods or stock. So how can you not dyno to have a true custom tune? It is a canned tune until it is put on a dyno. I have no mods with the Edge so it is custom tune to my truck LOL.

Check out my mods and results in my sig...he's probably got a little more in him due to the A/F ratio being a little rich...

It is custom because it is made for one truck not all trucks with the same code. It is custom because you fill out a worksheet and tell him what you have and what you want and how you drive and he tunes based on that. How much more custom can you get?
As we said the dyno is just to check his work and tweak if needed.

Why would you need to tweek the tune? To make it custom to your truck. Until you tweek it is a canned tune IMHO.

Are you that clueless?
We have explained it several times now and you still do not get it. What can we help you understand?
It is custom before tweaking.
