Hey Crash.

No. DP-Tuners are going to be custom tuning Edge modules - in essence delivering custom calibrations using that existing hardware.

There's a thread already on this hereabouts .... figured since you already have an Evo, it would/could potentially save you some $$$.

Well, I was wondering about the Level 2 STANDARD shift pressures, what are they set to in default 'unaltered mode'?, knowing this will help so that i can do a little custom tuning to my liking. Also, when you say that there is more strain on the tranny during the 3-4 shift and less "feel", whereas there is more "feel" in the shifts 1-2, 2-3 and adjustments to these fields will be noticed more. I know that increasing line pressure (to an extent) will firm the shift and in the long term, increase the life of the transmission. Understanding that, with your knowledge, and having stated that there is more strain on the driveline in the 3-4 shift; does that translate to 'increase the line pressure in the 3-4 shift'? (since a firmer shift increases component life) or would that equate to even more strain on the tranny during the 3-4 shift?

You would not want to increase the pressure as much for the 3-4 shift. I have mine set at +12 for the first 2 shifts and either +6 or +9 for the 3-4, I forget which.

Its +9 for the 3-4,

I have notes from a few peoples including your when I was tuning mine a few months back and have the paper work here in front of me. Im going to rework some of my custom setting with a help from a friend.

I just got my edge today and wondered what the best custom settings would be for fuel mileage in level 2 but still produce some good power. I have a flowmaster si/so exhaust and the edge. Then I have 275/55-20 Tires. A cai is coming in the future but that is it for now. I need to look to see what my rear end is. That should be on the diff case, or if I can find it on the window sticker?

Get the code off the driver's door and see which it is.
19 = 3.55 open
H9 = 3.55 LSD
26 = 3.73 open
B6 = 3.73 LSD
27 = 3.31 open
18 = 3.08 open
25 = 4.10 open
B5 = 4.10 LSD

I just put my edge in this morning and holy s**t!! My truck will actually squeal tires now! LOL! I am going to do a little tweaking now to open a little more power. Any suggestions guys? Also doing the calclation for the tire difference the edge is 2mph slower than the speedo. Guess I need to modify the settings for the tires again.

Alright I had an edge on my 99f150 and am planning on getting one for my 05 screw but I always wondered something.When you go to the custom tuning,does it still start with the set canned edge tunes (lets say level 2) and you tweak from there like with timing ,shift firmness ect,or does it start with your stock settings and you tune from that starting point so?I never really new so I never messed with it.Do you guys know what I'm trying to ask?

Q1 - When you go to the custom tuning,does it still start with the set canned edge tunes (lets say level 2) and you tweak from there like with timing ,shift firmness ect,

Q2 - or does it start with your stock settings and you tune from that starting point so? I never really new so I never messed with it.

it is my understanding that the answer to your first question is YES.

if you set it to level 2 and opt to customize it, it does begin with the canned level two settings and you are tweakin' it from there.

so answer to Q2 = No.

Q3 = yes
