Diablo Sports Predator tuning?

Ok, I have the Diablo tuner and want to know for people that have tuners in general. What do you change your shift points to? I want to change mine, but don't know what would be the best. I have an 04 with 5.4. Thanks for any info.

I doubt youll get much in the way of responses for one thats not a very popular tuner here it seems, and second the adjustments are made differently if I remember correctly. On a diablo its a % compared to the edge where its anumber. I could be wrong I havent had a diablo in almost 2 years.

I am wanting to change my shift points (what rpm it shifts at). The Diablo tuner has the actual rpm that you change it to. I just don't know what would be good places to shift to get the most performance out of each gear.

1>2: 5400 rpm
2>3: 5300 rpm
3>4: 4800 rpm ( torque converter limitation, to prevent ballooning)

If you also have a rev limiter setting, ensure it's set several hundred rpm above the figure above.

Analog tach is a laggardly SOB, BTW, so be advised

EDIT - revised 2>3 based upon this: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...13&postcount=4

Your 1st to 2nd is good @ 5400rpm, and your 2nd to 3rd works well at 5100rpm.

Diablo predator

I have the Predator tuner(p/n-U7153) in my 2000F-150 w/the 4.6.One of the reasons I purchased it was because of the different shift parameters you have to play w/ in the tuner, and that also is my biggest dissapointment, the shift parameters in the tuner.I've changed all the shift points, shift firmness, torque modulation and My trans.still does not shift like I would like it to.i've read many tech articles and they all basically say the same, that you really cant get the shift you want w/ a tuner, and thats where I'm at w/ mine. Its a good tuner, timing, maf, global spark advance, injectors, rev limiter,o2 sensors, egr and obd can all be changed or modified w/ the tuner.I've purchased a Transgo shift kit to help me w/ my shift problems, apperently thats the best way to go.I personally like the tuner, but if I had to choose again,I would go w/ a Troyer tune or have my truck tuned on a dyno, that truly is a custom tune.I hope this helped, good luck.
