X3 Woooo's.
Ok now im pissed! Well i have being running stock since this problem with the X3.Here is my first post about this.
https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=309416
Well last night before i left work i put my truck back to level 2 on my edge. All was fine for about 2 -3 km.
I stopped at a stop light and when it went green i put my foot on the gas and wham!! It was like somebody took away half my power. It was almost like the tune in the X3 very boggy and noooo power. Plus the little wrench came on also just like the X3 tune did saying to service the truck!
Well i drove about another kilometer to a place where i could pull over. I put the back to stock and checked the code.
It was P2106. It said something about the throttle and less/half power. I'm pretty sure his code is right but it could be wrong as i was mad and did not pay a lot of attention to it as i was more concerned with getting the truck going and making it home. Any way i put it back to stock and drove home with no problems or lights coming on!!
I posted on the SCT forum in the X3 section and i had a reply that said they would have a tech read it and respond but nothing yet.
Has this X3 done something to my PCM now and i cant run my edge also?
Really pissed!

If its doing it with the Edge and Xcal, I would have to say its not the programer, it maybe something wrong with the truck.. there is a chance something in your truck was weak, maybe a sensor or something and its out of range in custom programming...
I would just drive in stock while you are waiting for feedback from the tuners, being Thanksgiving weekend, dought if you will get any info until Mon... driving in stock may set a code if its a sensor or something so you can see whats the deal..
I'm just guessing, but with to programmers with completely different firmware and software doing the same thing, leads one to think its not the flash tool...

I have being running level 2 on my edge since September with no problems or codes. Its only since i tried to load the preprogrammed tunes on the X3 that this code has popped up.
I did a search on the code and its this. P2106 Throttle actuator control system, forced limited power. Anybody no what this could be?
Thanks.

I would check the plugs at the gas pedel and Throttle actuator control on the intake for starters, also if the TBS need to be done, they are going to reflash your PCM and on that note I would put the brakes on your custom tunes intil it fixed.. with a reflash, the custom tunes you have on order are worthless....

Ok guys,
I cleared the code and put my truck back to level 2 on my edge. I drove to work today with no codes popping up! So far so good. It ran real nice.
Im going to put the boots to her going home tonight to see if she throws a code again. I called TP and left a message telling them whats happening and to hold off on doing my tunes till i get this sorted. Just in case the dealer has to re-flash my PCM, which would make my custom tunes garbage!!
If the code does not re-a cure what would you guys do? Leave it alone or take it to the dealer and have them look at it.
I just dont want to have it throw a code after i have gotten my custom tunes from TP.
I will be calling TP on Monday to see what he says.
Enjoy your Turkey you guys south of here!!

Well i drove home from work last night with no codes or loss of power. I wonder if it was because it i did not clear the original code the truck put out when i put the preloaded tune in from the X3.
Well im running level 2 on my edge last night coming home and no problems so ill wait and see how it is over the week end. Stealer wants $119 for new TPS. I may just replace.
Anybody got some advice on what i should do.
Thanks.

Well she is still running great on level 2 and no codes either!!! wooooo hooooo. Im hoping it was just the truck regurgitating the old code it threw with the X3. Only time will tell!
Im still going to call TP on Monday and let him no what happened and depending on what he says i should do, i will get him to continue with my custom tunes.
