I hate these threads. The Edge's 0-60 calculator is off. There's a guy who posted here the other day who said his Edge told him he was running a 15.8 1/4. He then took his truck to the strip and ran a 16.8. Hardly accurate.

There are different factors when doing your 0-60, i went to a local track and the edge was dead on with 1/4 mile. Several friends also have done this. just my 2 cents.

I posted the wrong info for my custom tune. This is what is really is

0-60 7.2

1/4 mile 15.5 @89mph

I did a custom tune on LVL2
speed limit-130
shift firmness- 1-2 +10 2-3 +8 3-4 +8
rev limiter- 5500
WOT fuel- +1.5
tire size- 2532mm

If you dont see it on the list I did'nt change it.

I used a 3% squish factor on the tires to get that measurment and my GPS and the Edge are dead on.

well I adjusted with firmer shifts and also adjusted timing for elavation. which helped alot. I think my slower time has alot to do with my tires spinning. each run I had I spun the tires for arround 2 seconds. I think if I had lower pressure in the rear tires it would grip better. I am at 40 psi right now. I think before I test again I will lower the rear tire pressure to 35 to help get me some better grip. plus the roads arround here are pretty dirty this time a year which probably dose not help get a grip either.

Well the 0-60 comes from not adjusting the tire size to match your 22's. And what kind of mods do you have , because if you are turning those 22's that well it is FAR from stock. Oh yea, a gatorback belt will fix the squeal.

i promise you it is stock!!! other than adjusting the level 2 canned tune....also i have the wheel adjusted to the right setting, if i romp on it from a stand still it will squeal the tires pretty good. and according to the edge 1/4 mile setting ive been running 15.6 to 15.7 consistently.....i have no reason to lie and i dont even have custom exhaust, i do have 373 gears and a 5.4

Well I guess this is another "Freak" truck then, because no one on here with a similar truck is even close to you. But the EDGE's have been known to be inaccurate, so. Mine shows a 7.55 0-60 but I run a 10.74 1/8 mile at 64.5mph????? Way off, and that was with stock tires, it doesn't take me 2+ secs to get to 64.5, and do you think it takes you 9secs to get from 60mph to the 80-90mph it shows you run in the 1/4?

i do this every morning on my way to work....(run the 1/4 mile) it says 88.9 mph 15.66 is my best time....believe me i owned 2 mustangs before this truck and they both ran in the 13.s with no power adders...i cant believe this truck is running these numbers....do you think my edge is way off or is the truck just this quick? it does feel pretty quick, i am running the tunes that bluejay2000 gave me

Well I think the EDGE is inaccurate in this case. Have you checked the Speedo with a GPS to see if it is accurate and that the #'s you entered into it were correct. Personally from what i've seen, the truck would be very lucky to break mid to high 8's, esp. rolling 22's.

ok yea the tires are about 2" smaller than the factory 275's on 18's. Didn't see that, but it still seems a little fast for the truck but maybe its accurate. Take it to the strip and post the nums, I run high 10's in the 1/8 so yours *should* run high mid 9's or so. The 05 5.4 I raced ran 11.0's on factory 17's.

I have considered launching in 4wd. but I am relunctant to do this as I am worried about messing up the 4wd trane. the more I think about it I realize that no damage should be done as long as I do not turn the steering wheel. but I am still not sure. I will try airing down the tires a little. I am pretty sure if I did not spin the tires so much I would definitely be somewhere between 7 and 8 in the 0-60. of coarse my bigger tires are not helping. and it a week or two I will be getting even bigger tires. 305/65/r18's and new wheels. so I imagine my times will go to the craps unless I go to 93 octane.

It will not hurt anything, they will hold more power than you and I make(prob. together) but the 93 perf tune doesn't make mine faster than a customized 87.
