Did you try adjusting your level 2 customized tune adding +3 timing and running 93 octane? I would think it would have to give you a better time.

Ran customized at the strip, and then canned, the canned ran faster???? My shift points and firmness were upped, +1 timing and 5600 rev limit. Couldn't believe the canned ran faster???? Wasn't a huge diff. 0.10 but it did that consistent. I think the 93 is just a joke, but I hope my tune for the strip will run better when I get it.

you should try +3 on the timing from your custom settings for 87 and run 93. I read by bill you should increase timing .5 for every octane increase. someday I will try this and see what it dose. for now I think my custom settings are set.

Well I don't push my factory 146000 mile 4.6's timing. The modular motors are a silent felon when it comes to detonation. They can do it for along time before anyone even notices, I have seen quite a few, esp 03-04 Cobras that got a dose of boost and no timing changes, that come in with really "beaten up" pistons and busted ring lands. I run .5 for my altitude and .5 because I feel ok with it.

you are running that on an 87 tune right. I wasn't suggesting running +3 with 87 octane but + 3 with 93 octane. plus adjusting for elavation on top of that.

No I'm on a 93 tune, but the Edge adjusts the timing from level 2-3 that and the shift points and firmness make the 93 tune, it is not the same as the 87. So I would watch the timing increases, the Edge adds them already so you could be running 5-6 degrees over the 87 tune. Just food for thought.

The Edge compensates timing for 91 octane, not 93. So on lvl 3 with 93 you would only want to bump the timing +1. If you were to run 93 on lvl 2 you could bump the timing +3 but I dont think it would help anything.

That is the impression I got from bill on a previous post of his. for now I will run 87 and see how it feels and switch to 93 and try that later.

i ran a 16.2 in the low 10's and you run with a 16.05 civic but your 0-60 is high 10's? yes i had 3.55's-you mean to tell me you're all top end?

Thats what gets me, his car runs 10.8's 1/8 and then ran 16.05 in the 1/4. My truck pulls better in 2nd than in 1st to me, I have always been outran by the silverado's w/5.3's in the 1/8, but from a 55 kick, I usually pull them by at least 1 if not more by the time we get to 100. My buddies Taco 3.4 V6 ran 10.1's all night, but from 55 on he would hang until 70ish and then loose a length before the limiter at 107. It really gets me too, the midrange seems to be good, but it is only from 55-100 or so, then the brick just slows down.

Hay joshmac4.6 I have been thinking about all the racing you are doing with that 4.6 with 146,000 miles on it. you migh twant to stop racing that thing before you kill it. You are really pushing an old engine hard. you will be lucky to make it to 160,000 pushing it so hard.

What? This is a modular V8, you must be kiddin. But anyway, the engine might really go when the limiter is Set to 6000, Just to see if it will wrap the tach around, but the 297 stroker with a single T-70 will be waiting for its new home between the fenderwells at that time, just in case.

It's inaccurate, trust me. All you have is the Edge set on level 2 and you're in the 15's?

Check out my video and then come back and tell me you believe you're REALLY running 15's.

My Edge also said I was running 0-60 in the high 6's but that doesn't add up to my 1/4 time when I went to the strip.
