Edge with CAI????

So I decided to go the route with the edge, just ordered and on its way, instead of the xcal. Edge just seemed better route for my needs and i'll be putting those gauges to good use. The question is though that i want to put the airaid (roush) cai on and was wondering if anyone else has this setup and how its been working out for ya? I plan on ordering the airaid in the next week or two, just want to know first if anyone has experienced any problems with this combo such as the engine running too lean or excessive drone. I know on troyer's website he said neither the airaid or af1 make the truck run too lean but i know the name of the game changes with the edge. So any input would be great especially if you have this setup.

to finals being over and spring break at the colorado river

Send your edge back for a refund, get the new PHP unit Bill is selling, its basically the Edge but with custom tunes. Then you can run an aftermarket intake.

Otherwise, dont do it.

And my finals arent over until Saturday night. But hell, i'll brew it up anyways.

$200 for new. Now that's a deal. Call Bill and see if he can help you regarding the lean condition that the CAI and Edge could create.

Well I think it would be a custom tune DUE to the fact that there is no "driveabilty problem" with this specific truck as of yet.

Nope, but they're getting around it by the customers having "driveability" problems that Bill has to fix by a custom tune.

Bill has done a lot of work that he isn't obligated to be any means either and Edge has never reimbursed him for that work. I think if it wasn't for Bill, Edge would have a horrible reputation among F150 owners.

well i got the edge in tonight and i definately approve of the performance change. not overly dramtic in power but i can feel it in the tranny. I'm going to keep it set on level 2 until i finish this tank of gas and put some 91 in. I'll have to talk to bill and see if i can avoid some driveability issues with the cai.

Leave it at whatever tire setting matches the tires on your truck. My speedometer is off 3mph, but it was like that from the factory. Most of these truck are off by a couple mph or so, just the way it is.
