You can spend 4-7 hours in a waiting room at emergency, 3 months for an MRI, and it's impossible to find a family physician.
My buddies get better care from they're HMO's.

Socialist- LOL- As for free health care we more than pay for that through our taxes, my truck cost me almost 6 grand just in taxes. We pay 14% TAX on almost everything we buy(IN ONT).As for the Metric system we converted to that many years ago because the US was supposed to ,(OUR LARGEST TRADING PARTNER) to have parady in trade, you didn;t and the Canadian gov decided it would be to expensive to switch back.

Too high gas prices
Vancouver BC... put premium in tank this morning @ $150.9... OUCH! For our US neighbours that's $5.67/gal. Sucks that I drove to Oregon last week and got premim for $1.179/L...that's for 92 octane. Have Superchip and glad I do... anything that can help is greatly appreciated.

You Americans think you have it bad with gas prices, here in ST. John's NL, Canada gas prices are at $5.06 per gallon. I am ordering a Gryphon from Bill and it one of his tunes saves me 1-3 MPG then it would pay for itself in no time. To fill up My 2008 F 150 4.6 cost me $180 canadian which is on par with the US dollar these days and our provincial government has our gas prices regulated!!!!
Fuel taxes in Canada can vary greatly between locales. On average, about one-third of the total price of gas at the pump is tax. Excise taxes on gasoline and diesel are collected both federal and provincial governments, as well as by some select municipalities (Montreal, Vancouver, and Victoria); with combined excise taxes varying from 16.2 ¢/L (73.6 ¢/imperial gal; 61.2 ¢/US gal) in the Yukon to 30.5 ¢/L ($1.386/imperial gal; $1.153/US gal) in Vancouver. As well, the federal government and some provincial governments (Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Quebec) collect sales tax (GST and PST) on top of the retail price and the excise taxes.[2]
Fuel taxes in the United States vary by state. For the first quarter of 2008, the average state gasoline tax is 28.6 cents per US gallon, plus 18.4 cents per US gallon federal tax making the total 47 cents per US gallon (56 ¢/imperia gal; 12.4 ¢/L). For diesel, the average state tax is 29.2 cents per US gallon plus an additional 24.4 cents per US gallon federal tax making the total 53.6 cents US per gallon (64.3 ¢/imperial gal; 14.2 ¢/L).[3]
