Splitting OBD II

i currently have scangauge 2 installed in my truck and like some of the features that it offers, but need more power and was considering the edge evolution only thing stopping me is that i only have one obd II port i found a splitter but was wondering if they work, and is it a good idea to run both the edge and scangauge at the same time??

I'd have to double check, but I'm almost positive that my Edge manual said not to run anything else at the same time. I'm not sure there's anything the Edge can't do that the Scangague can, especially if you go with a Gryphon instead! www.powerhungryperformance.com
