Try this, King Ranch: Disconnect the Edge's cable from the OBDII port. Next, turn the ignition key to ON, but not to START. Then, plug the Edge's cable back in to the OBDII port.

If things work the way they do for me, you should get the Splash screen, followed by a screen showing your Hex code. If you push the "Enter" button, you should be back in business. Everything should work normally from now on.

According to the manual, when the Edge is disconnected from power (your removal of the battery), it has to be reinitialized this way.

Let us know if this works!

You are probably doing this right, but just to make sure, J&J is saying:
1. Unplug the cable with key in position 1
2. Turn key to position 3 (where the dash lights up)
3. Plug in cable
4. After splash screen and hex code come up, press enter

Position 1 = Off
Position 2 = ACC, when the radio turns on
Position 3 = On, when the dash lights up, also where the keys goes after starting the truck
Position 4 = Start, where you hold it to start the truck's engine

EDIT:
Just a question, the truck runs with the Edge disconnected, right? Are you going to call Edge tomorrow?

Hmm, at least the truck runs. I guess you'll have to call CS tomorrow.

Yup - Sounds like there's a real problem either with your unit or with the cable. Bill Cohron at PHP was able to figure out that another member (with a Gryphon) had fried his cable somehow and so PHP replaced it. Hopefully, Edge will be as responsive to your problem.

Sorry my suggestion didn't help.

If you can't get anything but a "green" screen, I don't see how you can program it back to stock. I haven't looked at the Edge FAQs for a long time - I don't suppose there's anything there that's helpful, is there?
