fuel mileage

Alright has anybody else noticed their troyer tunes using more gas than the canned tunes, and is that normal. I have only ran 87 performance and i was wondering if should just fill up with 93 octane and load the 93 performance tune.I see in previous post where people got better mileage with the 93 tune. And do you think it would cause any problems with if i used my 87 towing tune with 93 octane gas?

Using the 87 towing tune with 93 octane gas is probably ok if you can increase the timing to take advantage of the anti-knock properties of 93 octane. If you don't bump the timing though, you'll be wasting money.

As far as doing better with the 93 octane tune, try it! Run your tank almost empty, fill up with the expensive stuff, change to the 93 octane tune and see if your improved gas mileage pays for the higher cost of the gas. Many people say it does. Some say it's a "wash". And a few have said it costs more. Gas mileage is VERY dependent on YOUR driving habits, so, "your mileage may vary". (Been wanting to use that line for a long time).

I agree, driving habits have alot to do with it, but for me persoanlly I haven't changed my driving style that I am aware of, actually I think I'm a bit more aggressive with the 94, and I am getting 200Km more per tank on the hwy and about 150-160 city running 94 perf. tune.

I had Edge on level 3 and then ditched that and added Troyer perf. 93 and AF1 3.5" and my mileage dropped by a good bit.

Don't know. Never loaded canned tunes. Got custom tuned and never looked back.
