Adjusting Idle Rev

So awhile back i saw that you have the option of adjusting the idle rev on any programmer. And from what i can tell, this controls how high you want you truck to rev to when you first start it, right??

anyways, everytime i start my truck, it revs to about 2100 rpms, and slowly works its way down. Can i adjust the "idle rev" option when uploading the tune?? or will it screw up the tune??

I don't think this is an adjustment in the Gryphon/Edge. As far as I know, the adjustment is for warm idle RPMs only. The XCal may have different options of course.

I really have not paid attention to my starting RPMs, but 2100 sounds high. I know it drops to around 600 very quickly after a start. But, I live in a hot climate, which will have an effect on this part of the engine envelope.

That has to be adjusted by the tuner, at least in The Xcal2. It does not sound too high if it goes down ( decays ) at a nice rate.

What you are looking to adjust is called air flow multiplier on start up and no it is not available to the end user for adjustment. The table is based on start up time and engine temp.
