comparison test upcoming
hopefully my workload will lessen in the upcoming weeks,am thinking of ordering some tunes from vmp,as well as a gryphon with custom tunes and slap truck on the dyno and get datalogged numbers from each set of tunes ran back to back to back, guess we'll see where the chips fall

That WILL be an interesting test OpenClass. I think we'll all be eager to see the results.
I wonder if there would be differences in "classes" of tunes. For instance, let's assume Mike's tune was best at 91 performance. Would it also be best for an 87 economy tune (or even an 87 performance tune, if Mike doesn't do economy)?
I think most of us accept that a dyno tuned vehicle is set to the last, best fraction of efficiency. But, we really don't know if the differences are significant, do we?

Bangingd,
While we are technically set up as SCT distributors, we have not yet made the final purchase on the software so we are not yet able to reprogram XCals. It might work out that by the time Phil is ready to do the testing, we will have the software in hand. Just depends on how soon he plans on doing so.

We currently have financial obligations committed through the end of the year which has a big chunk of our budget tied up. We do plan to have everything in place by the first of the year. If we can swing it sooner, then we will.

So you will be able to write for all SCT tuners???

I think the only thing they don't have in their software yet is the 6.4L. As far as I know, it should cover everything else and work on XC2 & XC3. I am not sure about LiveWire, but I don't see why that would be any different. As we get closer to making the purchase, I'll have more details.
Catch ya later.
