Best tuner

Hey guys, I am looking at getting a tuner for my 06 Mark LT. I only have 15,000 miles on it and have a extended warranty. What is the best tuner to get? And should I get one now or wait until I have more miles on it and close to out of warranty? I want it for more power and to tow my 20ft boat in the summer. Your feedback would be great. Thanks

I waited until I had 32,000 miles on my truck with the warranty of 36,000 miles. Could wait no longer. I now have over 77,000 and no problems. I would not want to drive my truck without a tune. I have the Edge that has been upgraded to the Gryphon.

Do an advanced search on "Gryphon" or "PowerHungryPerformance" and on "Xcal3 by VMP". You shold get lots of hits.

Asking for the best tuner will give you different answers as people here have them from different sources. But I think it will depend on what kind of features you want. As far as the warranty, it shouldn't matter when you get the tuner. Only if the tuner caused a problem would you have to worry.

Having a tuner does not automatically void the warranty but most people don't want to chance it and return to stock.

I have had my tuner since the truck was 5 months old. I have reflashed my pcm close to 100 times.....and have driven my truck pretty darn hard from time to time. Never had a single reliability issue........and have absolutely Zero concerns that I will.
I would not drive my truck regularly without running a tune!
Honestly- I don't give a **** about the warranty!.........I have 100% confidence in the truck's build quality and have researched my mods thoroughly!

A custom tune is one of the best mods that you can get. Research your devices carefully. Decide which unit you need. Call the people who write the tunes and talk to them. Discuss your wants and concerns. Especially the warranty issue.
