x-cal II tunes

i have a sct xcalibrator II that i had in my svt. it has since been "tuned to stock" and traded in but i still have the hand held tuner.

where is a good place to get tunes for my 08 4.6? how much should i expect to pay? which tunes are recommended to go with my intake (aFe and jba exhaust)?

thanks for the info.

Contact Justin at VMP or Mike Troyer at Troyer Performance. They will give you pricing.

X2! VMP or Troyer will get your XCal to do all sorts of cool stuff. Might even make you breakfast, but don't hold me to it!

I'd suggest VMP. The wait time is a lot more tolerable IMO, plus from what I've heard by members who've had both, they stack up around the same.

I have an XCalIII with custom tunes from VMP and they're awesome. No complaints at all and it really wakes up the truck.

yep go to their website www.vmptuning.com and fill out the order form then within a week or two you should have the new tunes for the new truck, also in the comments section state that it was used for a different truck before

wow going from a lightning to a 08 4.6 must have been rough

Yeah I got my Xcal 2 at VMP and had them custom tune it. before with my truck being non tuned i couldnt get the tires to spin at take off and of course not hit 100mph lol... but now i can burn the rubber off my tires, i hit 120mph (altho I got passed by my brother's Jeep SRT8) the other day and I am seeing better mpg right now, but haven't figured out just how high i am seeing now. gotta give it up to vmp for waking up my truck.
