Edge Evo

I was thinking of buying the Edge Evo for my truck but was wondering if the my high miles and adding the programmer would kill the motor? I also have a lot of other mods like True Dual super 44 exhaust, CAI, BBK TB, BBK TB spacer, Accel super coils. 2000 F-150 with 140,000. What do you guys think?

The tuner will not hurt your truck. Now, if you start flogging it more after getting the tuner, then yes, it probably will not last as long. Do yourself a favor though, get the Gryphon with it's custom tunes rather than the Edge. Check out www.powerhungryperformance.com. Same hardware as the Edge but offers the option of custom programs to take advantage of your CAI. The canned programs are written for stock intakes.

+1 for what what Blue jay said. You definitely wnat to be careful of teh "caaned tunes" in the edge. When used with a CAI, they can cause your truck to run too lean. I asked the question directly to Edge, and the tech responded, that they do tune lean, with a stock air box, and with a CAI, it could run overly lean and throw a code.

Yes, that is my opinion. I have had both. You will be better off with the custom tunes in the Gryphon as opposed to the Edge. Now, if you do not care about the gauges that the Gryphon provides, then you might consider the Xcal3 tuned by either VMP or Troyer Performance. They offer excellent custom tuning as well. If the gauges appeal to you, then the gryphon is your best choice.
