new x-cal2 owner ?'s

just got my x-cal 2 and i have a few questions. it is unlocked and when i go to the liveload program there are 3 tunes already loaded onto it.

do i delete them before i get custom tunes?

and how long does it usually take to receive your custom tunes from VMP?

thanks

after getting my custom tunes my gas mileage wasn't right so justin sent me out a new updated tune to fix it, once you have the program downloaded to run it it will guide you exactly what to do. i can't exactly remember how to do it, but it was self explanatory. don't worry to much about it you understand the minute you go to load it on the xcal

I dont know about the xcalII but the Livewire keeps what was there and stores your stock and custom elsewhere.
As for the wait? Some have been a few days and others a month or so. It all depends on their workload.

You don't have to delete them before you load the new ones, you can just overwrite them. There is an explanation on VMP's website- http://www.vmptuning.com/store/index...e_id=emailtune

I ordered my tunes not too long ago and got them in about a week. They're awesome

If you bought a Xcal that was tuned for the same computer code you can pull the codes out and save them when you get your custom tunes. If they are not meant for your engine code just remove them and trash them, and enjoy the agonizing wait for your new tunes.

You should tell your programmer exactly what mods you have for your truck. That said I told VMP my gear size and while I'm sure the tunes are set up for my 4.56 gears, I still go in and set them myself. It is something you can do yourself.

Also as already mentioned you do not have to delete the tunes that are already on your Xcal, you can simply overwrite them when you load your custom tunes on there.
