Okay, here is my response from Edge about not being able to access the custom options.
Robert,
We can try to walk you through the update process when we reopen on Friday the 2nd. If you can call at that time or the following week we can try to walk you through the update process. The only problem is that we may not be able to do tire size programming on your truck. If the Evolution doesn't give you that option after the update, it may be because the vehicle's PCM doesn't give us the option to adjust that parameter. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you.
I have posted a question to Bill Cohron on his forums to see if this is true and to also find out if the Gryphon will let me access the custom options. I might be converting sooner than later.

Check Sum Failed
Can someone help me out?
I just downloaded the Edge "Fusion" software tonight. Apparently Edge no longer uses the Lightning software.
Anyway, I update the software in which updated my programmer and when I was trying to reprogram my truck for stage 1 it went through the process and then I received an CHECK SUM ERROR: RXAQ5B4...does anyone know how to fix this problem? Edge CS isn't open.
Thanks

If so, it's possible it's a momentary glitch caused by low voltage or something else.
Make sure your battery is fully charged, turn off ALL accessories (auto headlights, heater blower, radio, interior lights, etc.), and try again. I don't think you can hurt anything by doing ths, and that's what I'd do.

I am having the same error message but the code is different, it matches the hex code of my truck. I am thinking that I had some left over custom code on the truck for my "stock" tune (I bought the truck used and I wonder if although he brought the truck back to stock he left the tire size changed.) so when the Edge tried to read the stock tune it did not jive. the fine print also mentioned something about being able to download the factory tune.
So then I plugged in to the Edge Fusion software and now I think it is downloading the factory tune for my ford truck to save. Then it will update to a custom level knowing it has the factory one to fall back on.
does this make sense?

When you hook it up to update it to fusion, fusion will check the programmers memory and if the current hex calibration files on the programmer are out of date it will update them to work with new or revised hex codes.
And...
If needed it will revise the firmware...
Fusion doesn't look at what trucks have been linked to the programmer.
Follow the advice that JackandJanet posted if that doesn't work edge might have to be called......
