Gryphon vs Edge

Gryphon vs Edge
Hey yall...as of right now, my truck is bone stock. I am about to purchase the MBRP SI/SO catback exhaust.
I am also going to buy a programmer...either an EDGE or a Gryphon.
My question is would only a cat back exhaust warrant buying a Gryphon, or should I just stick with an Edge.
Does this make sense to yall? lol

Hey, The edge and gryphon are basically the same thing. Either one you choose it would be a great move to chat with bill as he makes and provides the best custom tunes. IMO.

The Edge is fine with just an exhaust change but if you ever add a CAI, you will need custom tunes. I had the Edge for 30,000 miles and thought I was happy with it. I then updated to the Gryphon custom tunes and found out what I was missing. I have had the custom tunes for 22,000 miles. If I were buying another tuner, it would most definitely be the Gryphon with the custom tunes, even though all I have is an exhaust. The greatest benefit is in that improved downshifting the Bill provides in his tunes.

Good choice, I really use the guages a lot. If you have no interest in the guages, then a Troyer tuned Xcal3 is a good way to go.

I really like the gauge. I always wanted one ever since I seen one last summer. The instant economy and average economy really have my interest, and the ability to run 1/4 mile times sounds awesome. $489 with 3 custom tunes though ouch. Could I get like an economy tune and tow tune and leave the 3rd a unchosen option? I dont know a whole lot about tunes but I know that I better look into one for when I get my wheels & tires this month, and to unleash some much needed horsepower and torque.
