Looking at getting a Gryphon!

Well, i think its time to get a programmer/tune for my truck before i get a CAI. And i was wondering if ya'll could point me in the right direction into buying one of these gryphon's! Thanks!

2004 Ford F150 Single Cab FX4 5.4
- only mod is a si/do super 44, but i am planning on deleting my rear cats, and getting high flows for the front cats.

- and i also will be getting a AF1 CAI, unless there is one better price wise and performance wise.

Thanks!

This is the website for PHP who sells the gryphon http://dygytalworld.ehost-services139.com/php/

I am not sure about the CAI, I never seen where they was worth the money, but I thought AF1 went out of business???

S&B intake, keep the stock front cats, there is no reason to waste money on cats that say "hi-flow" for a stock engine.

You can save yourself some serious change by trying the DIY CAI intakes that are talked about here in the "Gott's Mod" thread. Both the one I did and the one that kd4crs did should give you the benefits without the potential dangers of the "high priced" ones, and you have fun doing it too!

Follow the link that was given earlier to the PHP website. They're a great company to work with!

No the canned tunes are the same. The gryphon is just a recased edge, that can be custom tuned.

Based solely on my experience having one of the early Edge Evos and now using a Gryphon on my 06 F150, the tunes in the Gryphon are clearly better than the ones my Evo had. I mainly run level 2 with 87 regular gas and on the Evo tunes I had to make adjustments to the shift points to make it suit my daily driving habits. With the Gryphon I just load the canned level 2 tune with no customization and it is perfect, no adjustments needed. Thanks Bill! Now I am waiting for my custom tunes.

I just installed a JLT CAI $200 shipped, very low drone and best looking CAI I've seen on these trucks, Gryphon def. worth the $$$. Good luck
