The tunes are mapped for 87 and 91 octane canned tunes. Dont run anything except for what the vehicle is tuned for or it could cause issues with the vehicle. Kinda of like you dont run the 87 octane tune with 91 octane gas and vice versa.
You can get E85 tunes with the gryphon if you want them. I ordered one for mine but havent gotten my custom tunes yet to try them out.

If you have a flex fuel vehicle (and greencrew, I think you do), I seem to recall that there is some sensor somewhere in the the system that recognizes E85 and that tells the PCM to make some adjustments. (It would be a VERY simple change if there IS such a sensor - it's an easy software adjustment).
The situation DOES get murky if you are running a canned tune from ANY programmer. Will this tune override the software adjustment? My guess is, it can. Possibly the hardware vendor could shed some light on this.
A custom tune though, can restore the needed changes.
So, greencrew, I like your answer if all you have is canned tunes.

I did fill up with E85 and left the tuner on level 3. No problems so far, but it does not seem to have the same performance as it did with 93 octane. There does not seem to be any noticible detonation or signs of trouble, just no perceivable gains.
I have noticed a slight drop in economy as expected.
Looks like I will just go back to 93 octane, but it was worth a shot...
