Announcement from PHP
As of May 1, we will no longer be selling Gryphon programmers or Upgrades for the 1997-2003 F-150; we will still sell Gryphons and Upgrades for the 2004-2009 F-150, and we will continue to support our customers who have previously purchased Gryphons and Upgrades for their '97-'03 F-150 trucks.
We will still offer the SCT X3 for the '97-'03 F-150.
Please contact us if you have any questions.

Edge has been having a problem with the OBDII cable for the 97-03 programmers. We've been replacing as many as we're selling. I think you'd probably be more upset if we sold you something that didn't work. If they can get this problem resolved, we'll be happy to add the 97-03 Gryphon to our product list again, but for now, it makes more sense from a customer service point of view NOT to sell them.

Bill used to work at Edge and helped develop their software. He then started his own company, PHP, and writes custom tunes for the same hardware. He buys the hardware from Edge and relabels it as the Gryphon. It's his custom tunes that make the Gryphon what it is.

I'll be happy to check on them for you. Sounds like you must be close! Can you please drop me an e-mail or PM me on our forum with your name?

Look at what she's saying here. She's pointing out that PHP will no longer SELL to new customers, a "known", faulty product. However, they will continue to support people who HAVE bought this product in the past. How many companies do you know of that will work with their customers this way?
I honestly cannot think of a company I'd rather do business with.

Buck - Did you notice that she was providing an alternative, the SCT X3? There are lots of people on this forum who wouldn't have anything else!

I myself was saving for a Gryphon, but if it was a product that had a fairly high fail rate, i am glad they have stopped offering it. I would be pretty livid if after months of saving, i finally get my tuner, and have problems with it right out of the box, to no fault of PHP. They are doing the right thing, but not selling a product with problems, just to make a buck. I will be contacting them (PHP) soon to find out about the SCT X3.
Thank you, PHP, for not standing behind something that doesn't provide customer satisfaction!
