Cruise question for someone with access to Ford
I bought a base Ford F150 XL model. I love it, but the only thing I wanted to get on it was cruise. I found out that I could add a factory cruise to the truck by replacing the steering wheel and reprogramming the on board computer. Well, I got the wheel w/cruise installed, but now the dealer says Ford has no programming for it. They say it will be at least 30 days.
Now, I've heard through some folks that this is not true. I tried calling the Ford 'help' line to see if someone there could give me info, but they just kept pushing me back to the dealer. Is there anyone out there that can look up and see if this magical bit of code exists? If you do find it, is there a catalog number, or some sort of system id I can tell the dealer to look for?
Thanks....

That is the latest IDS release, it has been there since IDS replaced WDS.

Thanks! I'll take a copy of this over to them tomorrow. One more thing, just to be sure, they seemed to know exactly how to enable it before they hooked it up. They said that the 2009 is different, and it's not where the 2008 and before settings were. The info you are giving me is off a 2009 F150, correct?
I'll take it over to them and have them take another look tomorrow afternoon.

I found this set of instructions over at thecruisecontrolstore.com:

Which also seem to match your instructions. I sure hope this does it, because it is frustrating have the buttons sitting there and not using them.
