Hi, guys...
While we do not have a formal rule regarding multiple usernames, it's the general concensus of nearly every forum that I've ever participated on, run, or have assisted in running that one may only have *one* user account.
While I'm certain that there are likely others here that have multiple accounts, most have done it unknowingly either because they've forgotten a password, feel that it's necessary, or that they're circumventing some other form of disciplinary action that we've taken.
It's quite obvious to me that 98Navi wasn't attempting to circumvent a suspension or other disciplinary action; nor was he really attempting to conceal his real identity or similar (I mean, he posted about the same topic twice within this thread).
As such, I've discussed the situation with Bluejay and there's a concensus that the suspension be removed but, as a result of noting the two user accounts to one individual (confirmed via IP checks), I've merged the two accounts in to one account.
Obviously, there's no perfect set of rules for any forum. Personally, I like running the place with a general lack of rules and regulations because it 1) makes it look like we're trying to manage this place like a prison and 2) because it yields more hassles for us as the moderation/administration staff (and really, 3) it's undue burden on our users). We will continue to work on a case by case basis for matters such as this -- just as we have for years and years here - to ensure that disciplinary actions are upheld but, at the same time, attempting to give a 'college try' to being fair to our members.
Thanks for understanding, guys.
