Edge Problem

so i've had an edge evolution for about 3 months now and never had a problem. i ran it on level 2 with 87oct. then just yesterday i unplugged it from my truck and plugged it in to the computer to check for updates(none available). then when i put it back in my truck it made it run like *****. it was blowing black smoke, running ruff, and it was revving itself. so i put it back to stock and it ran fine then back to level 2 and the same problem. what the hell happened? needless to say in need .

thanks in advance

p.s. 2000 5.4 85k

did you set it back to stock before you checked for updates? call 1-888-360-3343 and tell them your problems and they will fix it. they will probably reset the evo for you. it probably has some corrupt data in the programing, but i'm no pro. just call them they have very good techs, you just have to wait on hold for 20min.

the manual actually warns you about having some steps befeore you update...

under FUSION PC SOftware
"(NOTE: The Evolution needs to be returned to stock on the truck before removing and performing any updates. If this is not done, the software will not allow you to continue.)

also somewhere in the book it warns about posible data corruption too of the PCM if not set to stock before an update.
