Superchips is now offering CAI tunes for F150
Superchips is now offering downloadable cold air intake tunes in the 1950 Cortex and 1865 Flashpaq for 2004-10 F150 4.6L and 5.4L applications.
Applicable CAI products tested and verified:
- AFE with gains of +6-11 HP and +10-21 ft/lb TQ over current 87 and 91 perf file*
- S&B with gains of +9-10 HP and +11-17 ft/lb TQ over current 87 and 91 perf file*
- K&N with gains of +8-11 HP and +9-28 ft/lb TQ over current 87 and 91 perf file*
- Airaid with gains of +2-8 HP and +13-22 ft/lb TQ over current 87 and 91 perf file*
- Air Force with gains of +9-10 HP and +12-18 ft/lb TQ over current 87 and 91 perf file*
- AEM with gains of +5-8 HP and +12-18 ft/lb TQ over current 87 and 91 perf file*
* Depending on engine application
Here are some Dyno plots I was able to get from engineering for those interested:
04-10 F150 4.6L using 87 octane
S&B
K&N
Airaid
AFE
04-08 F150 5.4L using 87 octane
S&B
K&N
Airaid
AEM
09-10 F150 5.4L using 87 octane
K&N
Airaid
AFE
If you have any questions feel free to let me know.

I updated my original post to include 87 octane since the numbers were the same between the two perf. levels. I will get to work compiling exact engine data to answer your question a little better.

Yes, we address your transmission shift points and firmness to maximize the overall driving experience.
Your 07 for example can have its shift points adjusted from a stock value up to +500 RPM and +5 MPH. That can be manually adjusted by + or -100 RPM and 1 MPH increments.
Shift firmness can be increased from stock up to 20 PSI for a much firmer shift and a reduction in slip between gears. That feature can be manually adjusted by + or - 2 PSI increments.

Here are the numbers I received from the calibrator who created the files.
AFE 4.6L
- 04+ 2V & 3V F150 gained +8HP and +10 ft/lb TQ
AFE 5.4L
- 09+ F150 gained +6HP and + 21.3ft/lb TQ
S&B 4.6L
- 04-10 2V & 3V F150 gained +9HP and +11 ft/lb TQ
S&B 5.4L
- 04-08 F150 gained +10HP and +17 ft/lb TQ
K&N 4.6L
- 04+ 2V & 3V F150 gained +8HP and +9 ft/lb TQ
K&N 5.4L
- 04-08 F150 gained +10HP and +12 ft/lb TQ
- 09+ F150 gained +11HP and + 28ft/lb TQ
Airaid 4.6L
- 04+ 2V & 3V F150 gained +4HP and +3 ft/lb TQ
Airaid 5.4L
- 04+ F150 gained +8HP and +13 ft/lb TQ
- 09+ F150 gained +2.3HP and +22 ft/lb TQ
Air Force 5.4L
- 04+ F150 3.5” gained +9HP and +12 ft/lb TQ
- 04+ F150 4” gained +10HP and +18 ft/lb TQ
AEM 5.4L
- 04-08 F150 gained +5HP and +12 ft/lb TQ
All numbers are at the rear wheels and are additional to our existing 87 and 91 perf files.
As you can see the 2V and 3V numbers are the same in most cases. The differences came out more in the actual performance tuning than in the CAI additions.
That being said the numbers provide the necessary driveability improvements our customers come to expect with our products as well as a few extra ponies to boot!

87 octane allows the user to still gain performance advantages while allowing the vehicle to run a cheaper fuel octane.
We adjust the air/fuel ratios and timing the same way we do with the higher octane setting but to different levels to keep the vehicle from experiencing detonation.
Additionally we work specifically on driveability throughout the RPM range giving the customer silky smooth performance no matter the pedal percentage.
Examples of our 87 octane rear wheel gains on a 2010 F150 5.4L are:
Peak HP +19
Peak TQ +43 ft/lbs
Max HP +38
Max TQ + 57 ft/lbs
Now add a CAI and a catback exhaust system and your really moving and all within the current 50 state emissions standards including CARB.

My bad, your 2010 6 speed transmissions gets similar shift point options as the 07 model info listed above. We offer a Stock + 500 RPM feature that can be manually adjusted by 100 RPM increments.
We also offer a stock +50% increase in shift firmness that is manually adjusted by 5% increments.

Thanx for putting some data down, hopefully it will clear up some future questions by potential customers.
Congrats
The cai tunes will be a great addition to your products.
