I ran the edge for a few months before I upgraded and yes there is a difference. The 87 custom performance tune on the Gryphon feels every bit as good as the 93 canned performance on the Edge to me. The 87 custom tow I got was better and if I just run it around town I get another couple of miles to the gallon with it.

Well I did buy it. For what I paied for it I'll be able to upgrade it later and still come in less then if I would have started out with a new edge or a new Gryphon!
BlueJay sorry about the double listing I just really needed a quick responce.

In the case of the MIT, certain trucks (strategies) have been known to tend lean with those. Hence if you plan on running the Edge on a perf tune ( which leans it out even more), you may need to have yer A/F's measured.
Ditch the MIT, do the Gotts mod and/or go custom ASAP. That way you'll ensure you are safe. No other way to tell sans measurement - not SOTP, butt-dyno, lack of a CEL,hearsay, moon phases or tea leaves...
If I misread what you said and you actually have the full Airraid WAI, you MUST get a custom tune or stay stock, as the Edge canned tunes are simply not designed to allow for a CAI/WAI. Does not matter that you have an '06.
On the Edge - soon as ya get it, load the software (from their website) and check for/apply any/all updates.

FYI - those are not perf mods, as none of the above will offer any 'perf'. They are what I classify as 'feel good' mods.

The MIT tube just replaces the original air intake and keeps the stock filter box.
Who would of thought that mod may influence a lean condition on certain vehicles?
It's just over glorified Gotts mode that doesn't have the silencers.
Just was wondering that's all........

You takes yer chances , or not. Direct A/F Measurement is key.
I don't take chances, which is why I invested in the means to do direct measurements.

Yes, really; one of several dealing with this and the 'shade-tree' intake mods. ==> https://www.f150online.com/forums/2230502-post10.html

I'm not running true duels so figured I'm pretty much stock there just louder.
And the intake looks nicer....
I did notice a slight MPG increase with the two though.
