Tuner on its way

Well after enough research decided to order a SCT X3 from 5 Star, talked to the owner and he recommended the 87 tow tune and 87 economy tune for 2010 F150 SCAB with a 5.4. Looking forward to the improvement in towing which I do 75% of the time. It was shipped the same day I ordered it!

Bet you will like it. A tuner really wakes these engines up.

Loaded my tunes, boy does the truck do a lot of gyrations while loading, but when all said and done it went well. Took a spin around after with the economy tune, trans shifts better and performs better.

Time will tell

Cool

I went with the Livewire from 5 star for my 6.2. Went with a 91 performance tune, and a 91 Tow tune. The performance tune ----------WOW! Really. I'm thinking about getting a 93 performance tune for kicks. But the tow tune? Used it one time to tow my Ranger out West Virginia. It's about a 265 mile trip with varying elevations. Wasn't pleased. Lost performance and about 2-3 mpg. Now, I didn't use tow/haul mode. Maybe that does make a difference. I'm waiting until I tow the Ranger back home next month before I contact them about it. But the performance tune kicks!!

do some datalogs with that tow tune, and talk to the guys at fivestar about your issue and I'm sure a tune adjustment will resolve it

Towing anything you are going to lose mpg....
Lost performance in what way?
Odd shifts....too many shifts?
No power?
Pulling a 3000lb boat I lose probably 2mpg...
I've got the 87 tow/performance tune from 5Star in my EB right now and like it a lot.
Holds gears longer,better shifting...
I've gotten tunes from 3 different places now....if I had to pick 5Star are my favorites.
