Tire Size Not Updating

I plugged in the Edge and did Level 1 and tires were 7% off, changed the value to 2600 (285/71R17) and tires are sill 7% off. Changed it to 3000 and no difference.

I'm going Lvl 2-> Custom -> Tire Size (2600mm) -> Done.

I can't remember if I loaded a stock tune first, or went straight into custom tunes (mistake, I know). Any way to clear everything out so it can "relearn" it the proper way?

Sure.

First - load the stock calibration. Then Restore to Factory Defaults as described on Page 38 of the Evo manual.

http://www.edgeproducts.com/product_...manual-277.pdf

As fer TS not 'sticking', there is indeed a specific sequence to follow - as explained (many times already) by Sir Jack: https://www.f150online.com/forums/5027834-post12.html

I know that the 2343mm in the custom tunes is a placeholder. Explain why changing the tire size to 3000mm and running the custom tune doesn't change my speedometer reading

I can't, as it should be - if yer following the correct steps.

Has it EVER worked ?

You'll need to consult Sir Jack, or Sir Bill.

I only use my 15051 for more gauges (daisy-chained with a Scangauge II via a custom homemade cable). I be an SCT feller fer tunin'.

The Edge worked on my dads truck perfectly. My Edge, then Gryphon, never worked on my truck. I was told that it was the Gryphons fault. Thinking of selling both and buying a Livewire....

Well now - woulda been nice to know that up front

I'd keep the Gryphon at least - and see if you can get this issue resolved by PHP.

Good luck.

They couldn't do it with the Gryphon, said it was something about it being 1st gen. They could program a tire size into it, and I could load it, but I can't change it myself

For everyone who's following this, I've working this problem with the OP on PHP's forum. Right now, I'm somewhat mystified by the symptoms. MDGfan's advice has been correct (as usual) and I'm not coming up with any brilliant insights.

This is new information! Why didn't you tell us this at the start?

I talked to bill about it when I had my gryphon tuned and he said there wasn't anything he could do about it, he even tried fixing things through the remote desktop after I got the custom tunes.

Since I know that the Edge worked on my dad's truck, I was hoping it would work on my truck as well. I reset everything last night and drove the 25mi to work. I'm going to load the custom tire size tonight for the drive home and see if that works

Didn't make a difference. Is it possible my truck can't be programmed for larger tires?

try updating the firmware. go to edges website and on the left hand side you will see fusion software download. once install plug in your device to the computer and open up that program. it will check to make sure you have the latest revisions.

If you do that, it will wipe out your custom tunes if you have any.

glc, Since he has the older (monochrome) Gryphon, he can update the firmware using Pegasus (from PHP), using [Updates]->[Gryphon Update Manager]. That WILL put him back to canned tunes, but then he should be able to restore the custom tunes by clicking on [Updates]->[Custom File Download (Internet)].

You don't use Fusion with his model programmer.

It's worth a try, but I'm somewhat doubtful of the outcome being any different.

Is it possible that you are entering the new tire specs going back to the main menu then going back to the place to enter a tire size? If so, it reverts to a default size. Just thought I would throw that out there.
