Hi RedFlarside2000,

Each Superchip is programmed to do the same thing (except in the case of a custom program for major modifications) on all these F-150's; the different codes are just different software revisions, there isn't any inherent difference in performance or "options" from one code to the next. That is just so we can make each Superchip performance program exactly match the software revision in each individual vehicle's powertrain computer, to get the best possible optimization of the program in each and every vehicle.

These F-150's are the world's #1 selling vehicle of any kind for the 19th year in a row, and so there are more different factory software revisions in each model year for these F-150's than perhaps any other vehicle made. It's just a function of all the different configurations from the factory, in addition to numerous different programs for the same identical vehicle in the same model year. There can be anywhere from about 140 to as many as 200 or even more different factory codes in each model year alone.

There is no difference in the power output from one code to the next in these vehicles, but all the various functions, spark maps, fuel maps, rev limiters, etc. will be in different locations from one code to the next, which is why we make a different Superchips performance program for each different factory code, that's the only way to really optimize the powertrain's tuning, on an individual basis.

With regards to pricing differences, specific options, etc., the policies of F-150 Online prohibit us from discussing those types of specific details and/or exact pricing issues on these message boards, to keep them free of what is considered blatant commercial content, so we ask that you please just contact us privately, and our contact info is just below, in our signature line, for your convenience. Thanks very much for your understanding on that, we appreciate it.

With regards to your comment about that 4.2 V-6 being weak in the low rpm ranges, you're exactly right, they are noticeably weak below 2500 rpm, even though they have a decent power output stock of 205 hp. Below 2500 rpm, they are indeed weak, and the Superchip will make a nice improvement in that, as well as all areas of performance.

To go over your options, pricing, etc. please just give us a shout either by phone or email, our info is just below & we'll be happy to get you that info ASAP!

We also have an online ordering system right here, that you can access just by clicking on the link just below.

Best of luck with your truck, & we look forward to hearing from you!
