Which Programer/Tuner for my set up?
First off I have read the "Sticky's" and all I have to say is thank you for posting them. I had no idea about these things at all and now I have somewhat of an understanding on how they work. That being said I still have a few questions if you don't mind helping?
2002 F150 4x4 5.4L SuperCrew
4" RC Lift
16x10 wheels with 305/70/16 General Grabbers
Lift and wheels will be installed this week.
Future Mods:
4.10 Gears
Magnaflow full exhaust
Here is what I'd like the Programer for:
1) I tow a 6'x12' trailer full of bounce houses (4,000lbs?) or my Harley every now and then. I only just started towing and it will not be a whole lot just here and there.
2) I would also like to have my Speedo accurate.
3) Of course MPG's would be nice
With the lift and other planned mods which Programer/Tuner would you go with? I am leaning towards a programer but I really don't know which is best for my year truck and for my uses. Thanks for all your help in advance.

Hi.
My recommendation is in this thread: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ch...chip-help.html
Short answer = SCT X4. Pick your custom tuning vendor and order it.
good luck

Your a mess!
That thread was the funniest ***** ever...
I Haven't messed with the exhaust at all and honestly I'm over the super loud aggressive exhausts. I love the quite as a mouse stock exhaust that I have now I just assumed that MagnaFlow's cat's/entire exhaust was better than our stock set up?! I'm hoping to maximize MPG's and add a little more power if I can? Power is not super important but ride quality and MPG's are. I also like all my gauges working as they should i.e. speedo... Thanks for the quick reply and huge smile on my face from that thread. I'll look into the SCT X4 right now.

I am open to suggestions. I only said 4.10 gears because that's what I see others running and they claim same if not a little bit better MPG's. What would the gear ratio calculate to with 33x12.5x16 with 4.10's and then with 4.30's? Not sure if the 4" lift matters but that's what I have. I should have the truck back sometime today.
Why would 4.30's be better? I am very green when it comes to this stuff. Thanks for the input.

Forget about MPGs with the mods you have/have planned. Additionally, don't count on any tuner/programmer to increase MPG. In fact, don't even factor that aspect in the decision making process.
Just being realistic here.
Good luck!

Is there any added benefit to run 4.56's over 4.10's?

Okay I get it now...
I don't do a whole lot of towing but I will tow my enclosed 6'x12' trailer (4k-5k pounds max) every now and then and that will be mostly around town towing not long hauling if it makes a difference? I will drive to Florida and back to NY maybe once a year or once every two years without towing. That's why I was looking into the programer to begin with. I'd like the truck to know it has bigger tires, gears, and whatnot so the drivetrain does what it's supposed to do without hurting it unnecessarily.
