Who is still making tunes for 5.4 2v?

I have a 2000 f150 with the 5.4 2v and I have been throwing around the idea of getting a programmer. As far as I can tell, nearly everyone here recommends going with a custom tune over a canned tune and yes I know the difference. Now, the only mods I have on my truck is a muffler swap to a magnaflow magnapack and I am running 285 75 16's. I don't plan on doing any kind of CAI. Also I hear that troyer makes some great tunes, but I really don't want to wait 6 months to get them, who else is still writing tunes for this engine and how much power can I expect to gain running an 87 octane performance tune? (I realize it isn't going to be anything huge, but I am just kind of curious).

Vmptuning i think still does tunes for a 2000. And i would say 10 to 20hp but more towards 10. Justin at vmptuning told me with my 08 4.2l i could expect about 10hp to 15 ish over stock with the tune and my intake together.

Ok, his tunes with the sct don't seem to bad for 400 dollars. I found that mpt does tunes from 2001 and on but not 2000, not sure what differences there really are between those two years so that's confusing to me.

You can have tunes written for 1997 and up on flash tuners because they need the diagnostic port to access your computer. I ordered 87 performance tune, 87 economy and 93 performance. I have only ever used the 87 performance but I love it. Definitely worth the 420 I paid to vmptuning.

Have you had any issues with the tune where you had to have him fix things with it? I've read about that happening but don't know if it's more common on 3v engines or what.. Anyways, if I don't draw my montana antelope tag this year I think I'm gonna go with vmp

The first tune I loaded acted funny but when I contacted vmp, I was told they wrote it without having my computer code. I gave it to him (sct tuner tells you) and he re wrote them and I got the good one 2 days later. Had it loaded for about 3.5 years with no issues. I love the tune ive used and imagine the others are just as good. Its night and day with a tune loaded. Troyer I have heard is better but I have also heard about the long waiting list of 6 to 8 months. Vmp I got mine in about 3 weeks.
