Superchips.
I have read here that many other chips only help at WOT (wide open throttle). Superchips makes changes throughout the rpm range.
Read many of the posts and make your best decision.

Hi Foreigner4L,

Superchips is the only chipmaker that tunes these engines for maximum power at *all* throttle positions as well as at all rpms, and that is also still 50-state emissions certified in all these Ford vehicles.

As T Ellenberger pointed out, most other chipmakers are tuning only on full throttle, where there are no emissions standards that have to be met, as it's a much easier & cheaper way of getting a product like that to the market. However, they only add power when you're running the vehicle *very* hard, and you can get a much better result than that.

There is one other chipmaker who is tuning and thus adding power all the time at all throttle positions for these Ford trucks, and that is Diablo. However, they do not have the 50-state emissions certifications, which our customers demand for legal use in any state. We carry both Superchips and Diablo lines. Either of those 2 will certainly work and make good power. So far, our customers have preferred the Superchip overall.

If you'd like to go over this in more detail, please feel free to give us a shout, our contact info is just below.

Best of luck whatever you decide,

Question

I thought that the Autologic chips worked at all throttle positions as well.

DB,

It's not the chip, it's the *program*. The chip is just the carrier, the chip itself makes no difference in this regard whatsoever.

Superchips is the *only* major chipmaker that makes each chip for each individual vehicle, tunes the engine to add power at all rpms & all throttle positions, & is also 50-state emissions certified.

Question for those of you who have installed chips

Show ya,

Perhaps you would do well to review the policies of F-150 Online you just violated by posting that blatant spam. These are the same policies that you had to agree to in order to be able to post here on these message boards, so it's not like you haven't been told.

We carry that product line as well, and will meet or beat any authorized Diablo dealer's price for anyone who is interested in doing business with a vendor that actually provides financial and other direct support to keep this web site, F-150 Online, available free to everyone. Diablo does NOT do free custom programming, as can be verified easily by calling Diablo or by calling us.

Hi F250-lariat,

Yes, you do have to use premium gasoline with performance chips, that's the whiole idea, to retune the engine specifically for the use of good quality gasoline to make maximum safe horsepower & torque.

For those who want the ability to run on lower octane fuels, we also make the 2-program Superchip Flip Chip that we can set up with one program for use on 87 or 89 octane fuel, and then the other would be our normal performance program for premium gas.

If you would like to go over that in detail, please feel free to shoot us an email or give us a call, we'll be happy to go over all aspects of that with you, so you can give it some thought & decide if that might suit your purposes. A number of our customers want to have that dual-octane capability, so they can have the best possible performance on both grades of fuel, and we can easily do that for you as well.

Best of luck with your truck,
