Someone I know has an existing Superchip, Im not sure who he bought it from.

Since he has bought the chip he has put on a FIPK, pullies, 24lb injectors, MAF, 2.5 inch exhaust with an Xpipe, took off both cats and put 2 high performance cats(looking into putting stock ones back on), 3.73 gears, 1/2" taller tire. and a poweraid spacer(will be testing it advantages and dis. when track reopens).

He is basically just looking in magazines and if it is listed in an ad he is doing it, so Im trying to convince him to test it all with or without some of the products to see if they are actually helping.

The question is, can you burn a chip to where the relocated 02 sensor, from his wild cat hacking job, that will recompensate it?

I know you can get 02 simulators for newer camaro's but not sure what to do on a F150.

Do you think it will be a big enough bang for the buck to reburn the chip? $100 isn't it? He has a 2000 5.4

Thanks,
Chris Vaught

Hi Chris,

First, we are prohibited from discussed pricing on these message boards by the policies of F-150 Online that we all agreed to when we all registered to be able to post here, so pricing will have to be discussed privately, off these boards. Your friend will need to call us directly himself, so we can talk to him about what exactly he has done, before we will agree to get involved. Yes, we can usually straighten out most problems & even the messes, if the vehicle owner is willing to do what is requried. And yes, we can take care of check engine lights from catalytic converter codes, but we will do that *only* under certain conditions, which we'll have to discuss directly with the vehicle owner.

With the mechanical changes he has made, he must have a good deal of custom programming work done, there's a lot of work that has to be done to load tables and other areas to correct for a number of the parts he has installed, the MAF, the injectors, etc.

Just have him give us a call, and tell him to mention your name, the Pyro Kid from F-150 Online & we'll take good care of him for you.
