You are choosing a good chip. I believe that you need to be sure that you are getting the proper program. We don't know anything about the dealer you are purchasing from. How much do you know?
One of the things I like about buying a Superchip here, from Performance Products is, you can clearly see what the other customers think. I tend to believe that is an advantage for us, the consumer and the distributer.
I would guess that Mike the Superchips distributer, will be around soon to give you some info. Stick around. You might even end up learning a thing or two.

Hi Quickcanuck,
Generally speaking, you can't do better than Superchips tuning/programming, especially on these supercharged Lightnings, so you've made the right choice as far as brand of performance chip to use.
You probably already know this, but just in case, you will need to have custom programming done with that kind of setup, you cannot just use a "standard" Lightning Superchip. In addition, this needs to be done in the 2-program Superchip Flip Chip of course, since you're going to be running nitrous. We always use the 2-program Superchip Flip Chip in any supercharged setup anyway, as you really need a performance mode and a fall-back setup in case you get a bad tank of gas, etc. In your case, you'll need a regular performance program for the street/strip when not using nitrous, and then a separate program for use only with the nitrous.
If your local dealer is well experienced with thse Lightnings, and you're happy with the service & pricing you're getting, then stay with them, you should be in good shape.
If your local dealer does not specialize in these Lightnings, or
if you just need someone to talk to about your Lightning, what you're doing with it performance-wise, your goals, or how to get there in the most cost-effective manner etc., please feel free to give us a shout, we'll be happy to go over anything with you so you can give it some thought. We are F-150 & Lightning performance specialists, and powertrain programing is our core speciality.
Best of luck with your Lightning whatever you decide!
