I'm want a Chip.....but...

I want to get a superchip, but there are some other mods that I want to do to my engine and I'm not sure if I should wait until they're done to get the chip. The mods I want to do are:

MSD 6A Ignition Amp
Crank Pulley
Electric Fan

I'm thinking I should do these first then get the chip...Can any one confirm this. Also, if any one would like to give their opinion on which order I should do these mods I'd love to hear it....Thanks

I have read here that the chip really helps the v6 between idle and 2500 rpm Seems that would give you the most benafit on the street Good luck I think the electric fan will be my next mod now that I have the chip

I would get the chip last. When the chip is prorammed for your truck, they will take into account the other mods you have. If you do the chip first, it will be set up for stock.

Hi XLT-Sport,

Actually, the fact is that nothing in that list, not the electric fans or the ignition or the underdrive pulley will make any difference in the tuning, so you don't have to wait to get your Superchip if you don't want to, you can start using it right away. Since it will give you more benefit than all 3 of those other modifications combined, many people do the Superchip first.

It's always a good idea to check and make sure, as you've done.

The Superchip can also be updated later on with any custom programming/tuning that may be needed, and the reality is that custom programming costs the same at time of purchase as it does later on, so it really doesn't matter when you do the Superchip from a financial standpoint.

Please feel free to give us a call about this if you like, we can go over all of that with you in detail, and we can even supply any of those parts needed if you like.

Hi XLT-Sport,

Our hours of operation are Monday thru Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM, Eastern time.

As far as what's a good time to call us, anytime between those hours is fine. I'm available most of the time by phone if you want to speak with me. Just call anytime it's convenient for you, and if I happen to be tied up at that particular moment, I'll be happy to return your call just as quickly as possible. I'm not hard to reach.
