Thumbs up Superchip

Well like a bunch of post before, all I have to say about the Superchip is WOW!! I dont know why I waited so long to get one. My truck responds much better. Throttle response is outstanding, and the shifting is perfect!! I like how the truck will snap your head backwards as it shifts. I have used the Jet chip before, now Im not ******* Jet Chips,it was a good product, but there is no comparison!! Now if I can just get back to normal driving, I can see if there will be any mileage difference, if not oh well!! I would also like to thank Mike and his wife for being such great and helpful people!!

It's really depressing when you take it out for a while.

Hi therock,

Thanks for your post, that's very kind of you to say.

Glad you're enjoying the Superchip!

Your comparison of the Superchip's performance improvements compared to the Jet chip you had previously are very typical, everyone who has actually used both chips on the same vehicle says the same thing, no comparison. It's the difference you get with the Superchip being made for each specific vehicle and tuning the engine for more power *all* the time, at any throttle position. Those 2 factors make all the difference in the world compared to Jet or Hypertech's generic program that tunes the engine only during open-loop operation.

Have fun enjoying your truck!

Question need some help

I am very happy with the superchip, but I think I have a problem. Is pinging normal when you first install the chip?? It didnt start pinging until this morning and has done it all day. I have had the chip in since thursday. Just wondering is pinging normal while the computer relearns itself, or could it be something else??

Is your tank 100% premium octane? If there is a lower grade of gas still in your truck, then that could be the cause. Good luck

therock, I've had the chip in since February and I still can't get use to it. It is simply the best bang for the buck mod. Outstanding.

octane

I have had 93 in for two tanks now. Filled up before I got the chip, and and filled her up again right after I put in the chip. I hope nothings wrong. But I know what you mean it is the best bang for the buck. Thanks for your reply!! Forgot that I had a half of tank of 89 octane before I put in 93. And is it ok to drive to see if the pinging stops??

As far as I understand. If you have any pinging be it little or alot, that is not good.

I would suggest that you give Mike T a call and discuss this.

Thumbs up Thanks Fowl!!

I didnt know if it was normal or not. But today the pinging stopped. I had my father in law ride with me today to hear the pinging. Instead of pinging, we heard that annoying exhaust leak sound that everybody else has been talking about on this site. It was making the sound before, but now its louder. He had an 01 GT that made the same sound. Never could find an exhaust leak though. Im just glad that the pinging is gone, I guess I had some bad gas in the tank. Sorry for the length!!
