Better shifting without 93 octane

I'm wondering if I can get my 02 F150 5.4L FX4 4x4 S.Cab to shift better (kill the delays and retards) without having to buy the superchip and run the 93 octane fuel all the time. I know about the flipchip, but really just want to get the tranny going right.

I'm not really into going all that fast for the most part, I just hate the sloppy shifting of my truck. My 99 4x4 seemed to shift much better than this 02. Going from reverse to drive, I literally have to wait for what seems like a good second and a half after I shift into drive. If I push on the accelerator before that, the tranny jerks pretty hard. I know that can't be good for it.

Just curious.

Hi Creole,

Yes, we can set up up with a tranny-only Superchip if you like, just give us a call and we can take care of that for you. We don't do that often, but every once in awhile someone wants to have only the transmission changes, and we can do that for you.
