Hey!

yes I have heard about it and Was considering purchasing it for my Navigator. However, after spending about 2 weeks on these Forums, and READING all the posts about Superchips below, and talking with MIKE, and all his 50 other satisfied customers I have decided to purchase a superchip... WHEN i purchase a Chip. Ask Mike, who should be replying shortly what HE thinks about the Diablo Chip..

Based on what I 've head from several people, the only company that makes a chip specific for YOUR vehicle is Superchip, along with Optional Custom Burned chips for extensive Mods. You give them your specific computer code and the chip is burned for you, Not some "generic" chip off the shelves of a store, such as Jet Chip, and Hypertech. No do not Own a superchip, and have never driven with one, but Mike's Customer assistance is unbeatalbe, and the superchip seems like an Excellent product. Hope that helped a little, and I am not trying to SWAY to into NOT buying a Diablo chip, just giving you my opinion and thoughts about what I have heard on this Forum. Good luck selecting your chip.

-Jon

BTW- Does Diablo offer Custom tuning, because I remember when I was checking into buying a chip from them, they required me to enter a specific computer code....?? They also quoted that ,

"DiabloChip redesigns the entire RPM range for even more performance and for a very smooth power band. Every DiabloChip gives a significant increase in power throughout the entire power band, improved throttle response, firmer shift points, and an increase in gas mileage.

Superchips does all that right???

I'm a big Diablo Sport fan. I had one in my Thunderbird and my dad has one in his 91 F-150. I plan on getting one as soon as I have some extra money.

Just give 'em the code on the inside of your passenger door and then have fun trying to pull the computer out to put it in.

Cool diablo chip

Yes on Diablo. I have used this chip in both my 2000 & 2001
Lightnings and they worked just fine. The best part is is the
support from the manufacture to do the set up just the way you
want your performance to be. My choice over all!

Diablo Sport! The only one I would use in my F 150 hands down.

The response, the fuel economy increase, and the hold on to your pants was what I was looking for as well!

Hope you decide what it is you want and go for it!

Showya

Diablo was my choice and never L@@Ked back either, been in the shop twice and never a word or complaint from service department once.

I guess I was unlucky

I bought a Diablo chip for my 2001 4.6, and had nothing but trouble....no start, reprogrammed, no start, run rough, etc...

Under their great 30 trial warranty I returned it for a full refund...service was great, just did not work in my truck

I bought a superchip and have been purring like a kitten for 10,000 miles....love it and would not hesitate to buy another one for a second....

Both are computer specific and I am sure Diablo is good when it works....superchips has been around longer and may have more experience with the Ford computers....LOL either way.....

Diablo's web site info claims their chip will have an increase in mileage from the added power, especially towing.
Has anyone seen mileage increases from the Superchip? They sound very much like they are pretty evenly matched.

Thanks,
Randy
