Mike....I need another chip.
Hello Mike,
Sorry to hear the ralley got rained out. I hope everyone at least had fun meeting each other.
Now to my problem. Thanks to you and all the really cool mods you have sold me, my 21 year old daughter now wants a dad gummed chip...LOL. She road in my truck with me this week end and was surprised by my new power.
Now she wants more power in her new Mustang. She works for me and so I suppose the least I could do is buy her a super chip as a thank you for her hard work.
She has a 2001 Ford Mustang with a 6 banger in it. I am not sure if it's the Triton or what, but I can get more details and call you with them if you can get a chip for it.
Let me know and I'll call you.
Geeze, I hope my service techs don't decide they want them for their service trucks....LOL....I'll have to hit ya up for a case of them.
Thanks Mike,
Rocks
P.S. She is also interested in the rear mounted electric fan jet boost kit.

Hi Rocks & Karson 5.4,
You guys are a riot!
All kidding aside, yes, we do make the Superchip for those potent little 190 hp V-6 Mustangs, and they respond *very* nicely indeed.
As always, we'll just need the computer code of that car, and to start with, look in the same place for the Mustang's code as in these F-150's, passenger side door frame, near the door hinges, 3 letters & 1 number. If it's not there, then the ECU is behind the passenger's kick panel, just remove the kick panel & then read the code sticker on the ECU itself. If you have any problems with any of that, of course just give us a shout as always.
One quick warning, not to scare you away from this but just so you'll know what your daughter's car will be capable of, with a bone-stock V-6 Mustang 1999 or newer (the 190 hp models), with just the Superchip as the only modification, they can usually run easily in excess of 125-130 mph. This means you'll want to make sure that the tires on that car are rated for those kinds of speeds if any sustained running at 100 mph or faster is intended.
As far as your service team vehicles, well.................heh-heh it's about time we got you back for the "chirps @ 40 option" and the "jet-powered fans" jokes!
Take care,

Thanks for the info Mike. When I read your post, I got this sudden urge to take her car from her and mod it out for me.
I have some other questions to ask you anyway. I'll give ya a call Monday sometime.
Thanks for the info on her car. I don't think she could handle that car at those speeds. Im gonna have to think on that one.
Thanks Again,
Rocks
P.S. Hey, I just had a brain fart. Maybe I could put the Mustang chip in my truck and trick it into thinking it is a Mustang. That should be good for another 25 H.P. or so. Watcha Think of that one?

You guys...........................
Actually, we could do a Superchip for that Mustang that would *not* remove the top speed limiter if you like, if that might make you feel better to know that she won't be able to run around at triple-digit speeds. Just a thought.........................
The Rally wasn't a complete wash-out by any means, but it sure did rain every day! We were very luicky to have the normal contingent come in from MI, from MA, from PA, & elsewhere. It rained most of the day Friday until about 30 minutes before the rescheduled Show-n-Shine event. Then on Saturday, once we finally got to the track after a fun flat tire event (thanks for your roadside help, Tom!), everyone had a good time.
The weather was tough for performance for everyone except Raoul, who tied his best-ever ET of 15.7 in a bone-stock 5.4 F-150. It was about 89-90 degrees, whch isn't bad for here in the Summer, but it was also literally 98% humidity for most of the day, and that was the real killer, that heavy air. Until at about 2 PM, at which time the heavens opened up once again and down it poured.
Just about everyone there was able to improve on their initial ET's, and it was great fun working with those we were able to get together with to help them lower their ET's. Tom (wittom here on F-150 Online) was able to drop his F-150 from a 15.86 first run time to a best of 15.19, using our hotter program and altering his driving techniques a bit. Nice job, Tom, what a big drop, almost 7 tenths!
Then there was the OUTRAGEOUSLY beautiful '99 F-150 of Mike Houk, which blew everyone away with how great it looked inside and out as well as under the hood (drool, drool), he has a real show-winner there, literally! He was running low 16-second ET's with his ATI-supercharged 4.6, but was handicapped by an open differential sporting 3.08 gears, and running on our milder program because we suspected he had Exxon gas in the tank. With some 3.73's and on our hotter program, his 5200 lb. 4.6 could have cracked into the high 14's even in that weather, I feel, and he'll be there very soon.
Then last I pulled my best boneheaded move of the event, which was to lose but not really lose my keys. Literally everyone was helping us look for them (God, what wonderful people come to thee Rallys!), including poor Raoul who was late for a wedding, only for me to finally discover and have to confess that I had tucked them into my back brace sometime in between checking air pressure on one of the trucks and having a nice young man who came with his mother sit in our Lightning so his Mom could snap some photos of him behind the wheel of a Lightning. What a maroon, I was lucky I didn't get tarred & feathered over that routine, & I couldn't have blamed anyone if they had! Thanks to all of you who witnessed me in all my brilliant (not) glory.
All in all we had a fun Rally, & we'll have the pics in to the Webmaster here very shortly.

Hello Mike,
Your key story reminds me of our bean counter at work running around looking for the glasses he is wearing. Thing is, he is 62 and so we all give him a bit of slack in these areas...LOL.
Sounds like the rally went well, all things considered. Maybe I can make the next one. I'll bring the umbrella and my extra set of keys.
I think I like your idea on the super chip for the Mustang. We have been busy or I would have already called you. I'll give you a call here in the next few days.
Talk To Ya Later,
Rocks
