Thermometer Replacement

I have a 2001 Supercrew and for the past 6 months the temp in the truck has been off (the ambient temp reading in the overhead console). It is about 10-15 degrees above the actual outside temp (using several other sources). I figure the temp probe on the outside is going bad and I need a new one. Has anyone else had this problem, if so, was it hard to fix? Where is that probe located? Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dan,

Pop the hood and remove the Air deflector, plastic screws, that covers the rad. The thermometer sensor is attached to the radiator frame behind the grille on the driver's side.
