Distributor Cap and Rotor

ok so i've been looking around in my engine compartment for a while and i see no central distributor cap i do see where the wires are coming from on the front of the valve covers. also if any of ya'll out there have a particularly favorite spark plug and cap and rotor and wire sets let me know i had a honda before i got my new baby and always used bosch but i was just wondering what ya'll's suggestions were. thanks for the help.

by the way i have a 99 F150 4X4 offroad with the windsor 4.6l

Modern engines use a computer controlled ignition system.In other words the cap and rotor system is a thing of the past.Don't know about your configuration but you probably have some sort of direct ignition system. Usually every cylinder has its own coil which is fired by the cars computer.

Actually '99 used a 2 coil system with four wires on each coil. Last I checked there still wern't a lot of after market wires available. Yhat might have changed since I have had a '03 for little over a year. put this post in the engine section, prob. more likely to get info there.
