My 97 F-150 started making feedback noises thru the speakers with the ignition off. The truck will start but it continues the feedback noise and also with the ignition off and key removed,my aux power remains on to radio,etc. Anybody ever have a similar prob? Any idea where to start looking for a fix? TIA.

 

I've heard about this before in the forum...apparently from what I've read, after time, the ignition switch gets some wear and tear and may need to be replaced. I'd double check the wire harnesses in the steering column for obvious signs of damage. This should solve the 12V ACC on w/key out problem...as for the feedback in the speakers????? Don't know, maybe fixing the first problem will eliminate the second problem.
