I'm going to be installing an aftermarket alarm, and from reading on here I can only see how to install. Some times I see that the keypad is just like a key fob and others I see there is a wire to hook up.

Since there is no way to use the keypad with an aftermarket alarm. Can I just peel the thing off or will I be left with a hole in my door?

I wouldn't mind being able to tie it into the alarm. I'd even go with the ford Gold alarm/remote start. But it isn't two-way, and I would like to know when the truck has started or not. Plus for half the price of the Gold I can get a 2-way with more features.
